My ties to the community and university are many. Graduating from Stadium High School in Tacoma I came to the Kittitas Valley for my college education. Returning to Tacoma in 1961, following graduation, I taught sixth grade and undertook studies leading to my M.Ed. in 1963. In the late 60s my wife, Marlene and I relocated to Pulman where I served on the WSU Audiovisual Center faculty and completed studies for an Ed.D. In 1989 my wife and I relocaed to the Kittitas Valley and I have served in a number of CWU positions.Currently, I am active in the Ellensburg Morning Rotary Club with local and international projects, serve as a volunteer with a number of community groups, and as a retired professional I remain active with the American Society for Quality. During my career a number of publications were ceated and some are in the CWU library.Serving with  CLCE as a community volunteer, and a senior citizen, gives me opprtunities to share insights based on experience, career activties, and academic and professional conections. Students and staff working with CLCE are delivering results and being  part of the program provides challenges and opportunities. At the CLCE smiles are plenty.
