For this years Lobby Day in Olympia, Wa., students will address projects and problems that directly affect CWU and will be continued to be lobbied on during the 2020 legislative session. Participation will offer students an opportunity to make a true impact on CWU. State lawmakers are not on campus to see where needs may lie, but the student body is. CWU Lobby Day is a real opportunity for students to make a lasting difference on campus and on higher education in Washington State.

Transportation, meals, and lobbying training will be provided.

Departure is at 8:00 AM at the Wildcat Statue on the SURC East Patio.

  • Event Date Tuesday, January 28th from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm
On Tuesday, January 28, there will be a blood drive with the American Red Cross in SURC 137 A&B. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for approximately 50 CWU students, staff and community members to donate. The American Red Cross (ARC) uses the donated blood to aid local hospitals, as well as hospitals around the country who experience tragedies. Most donated blood stays within Central Washington to help patients suffering from trauma, illness, and injury, while other donations will help during national emergencies. Approximately 39,000 units of blood are needed each day across the U.S, and you could be a part of fulfilling that need. Remember: one donation saves up to THREE lives.
