  • Event Date Saturday, October 19th from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm
    Get out in the fresh country air and help preserve the past for future enjoyment. Work with the Heritage Gardeners to maintain decades-old gardens and spruce up Washington’s oldest working farm. Olmstead Farm, is one of the first homesteads in Kittitas Valley, and they need your helping hands. Equipment, transportation and lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Check in will be in the CLCE SURC 256 (upstairs). Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately for the weather (sun protection, warm/cool clothes, etc.), wear CLOSED-TOE SHOES and CLOTHES you don't mind getting dirty.

  • Event Date Friday, October 25th from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm
    Join the CLCE and Adult Activity Center for the 2nd annual Casino Classic! The event will be held at the Ellensburg Adult Activity Center. The CLCE is looking for volunteers to participate in this event which includes setting up, taking down and helping facilitate casino type games. No casino experience is required, we'll teach you everything you need to know!

    Transportation and light refreshments will be provided.

  • Event Date Thursday, October 31st from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm
    The Center for Leadership and Community Engagement (CLCE) and the Office of International Studies and Programs (OISP) invite you to join them for the International Café, Thursday October 31 in SURC 137 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM.

    We are looking for people who would like to engage and form friendships with students from around the world.

    The Café will be hosted by the Korean Student Association .

    Bring your lunch. Beverages and light snacks provided.

  • Event Date Saturday, November 02nd from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
    Volunteers will help remove invasive vegetation (weeds) that have taken over a tree planting site established two years ago. Be sure to dress for the weather, including long pants and close-toed shoes. Transportation and tools will be provided, as well as a light breakfast and lunch.

    Volunteer Check-in will be in the SURC Pit.

    Recruit volunteers for the 19th Annual Holiday Extravaganza by tabling in SURC.

  • Event Date Tuesday, November 26th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
    Students have the opportunity to come into the CLCE office during their free time, and volunteer by preparing supplies and creating templates of crafts for Holiday Extravaganza. The office is located in SURC 256 (upstairs), and is open Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.

    Holiday Extravaganza is an annual event that aims to provide approximately 400 K-5 children with 30 fun and safe holiday craft stations. This event takes place on the first Saturday in December from 10am-2pm in the SURC Marketplace.

  • Event Date Friday, December 06th from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
    The store can raise the most money by making a variety of products available at all times; so when donations come in processing them quickly is critical. Volunteers will help sort donations and prepare them for the sales floor. In addition, volunteers will assist in getting priced and prepared goods onto the sales floor in an organized and appealing way.

    Holiday Extravaganza is an annual event that aims to provide approximately 400 K-5 children with 30 fun and safe holiday craft stations. This event takes place on Saturday December 7th , from 10am-2pm in the SURC Marketplace. Each station needs CWU student volunteers to help the children to create the craft, so sign up to volunteer today!

    A light breakfast and lunch are provided for volunteers, plus a FREE T-SHIRT! ***In order to receive the free t-shirt, you must SIGN UP by FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22nd.***
