Lobby Day (Cats at the Capitol)

Event Description For this years Lobby Day in Olympia, Wa., students will address issues that directly affect CWU by lobbying during the 2020 legislative session. Participation will offer students an opportunity to make a true impact on campus and in higher education initiatives in the state of Washington.

Food, transportation and training will be provided.

Departure is on January 19th 12:00 noon at the Wildcat Statue on the SURC East Patio.

  • Lobby Day Participant (General)

    For this years Lobby Day in Olympia, Wa., students will address issues that directly affect CWU by lobbying during the 2020 legislative session. Participation will offer students an opportunity to make a true impact on campus and in higher education initiatives in the state of Washington.
    Shifts: 
    Monday, January 20th 2020 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm12/25 positions filled
  • Lobby Day Participant (Chavez-King)

    Students will address projects and problems that directly affect CWU and will be continued to be lobbied on during the 2020 legislative session. Participation will offer students an opportunity to make a true impact on CWU. State lawmakers are not on campus to see where needs may lie, but the student body is. CWU Lobby Day is a real opportunity for students to make a lasting difference on campus and on higher education in Washington State.
