4th Grade Nature Camps

Event Description Each year in the spring, KEEN (Kittitas Environmental Education Network) hosts all of the 4th graders in the Ellensburg School District for our Nature Day Camp. This program aligns with 4th-grade science standards and engages young learners in creative thinking, problem-solving, and fun in a restored natural area. CWU volunteers will accompany students and assist with outdoor education, environmental stewardship, and activities on environmental impact. All volunteers must pass a background check, provided through KEEN.

Hosted at Helen McCabe Memorial State Park (24398 Canyon Rd, Ellensburg, WA) on 3 different dates, KEEN brings in volunteer subject-area experts to share botany, geology, hydrogeology, and more!

Lunch will be provided, however, transportation is NOT.
