FISH Community Food Bank is currently looking for volunteers. This is a great opportunity to serve the Ellensburg community while adding experience in a Food Bank/Food Pantry and other aspects of a social agency to your resume.
Winter Quarter: January 7 - March 15, 2019
VOLUNTEERS ARE ASKED TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION, INTERVIEW WITH THE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR, UNDERGO A WASHINGTON STATE PATROL BACKGROUND CHECK AND ATTEND AN ORIENTATION WITH FISH FOOD BANK BEFORE BEGINNING.

Volunteer Positions
Pantry, Guides and Administration Volunteers Needed
Volunteers working in the pantry will sort and stock food, organize inventory, help clean the warehouse and the food pantry as well as receive donations. Other volunteers are needed in the pantry to act as “guides” and assist those who are shopping for food. Guides shifts start 15 minutes before the distribution hour. Distribution hours are Monday, Tuesday 2:30-5; Wednesday, Thursday 2-4 and Friday from 9-11:30. Those who are sorting and helping to prepare the warehouse for distribution will organize their shifts with the Operations Manager, but are asked to work 3-4 hours if possible.
There are volunteer opportunities to work in administration, event planning and certain aspects of fundraising. Excellent opportunity to experience operations of a non-profit agency. Hours for these shirts and specific duties are organized with the Executive Director and the Development Coordinator based on the volunteer’s interests and availability and the needs of the program.
