Salvation Army Retail Thrift Store Winter 2019

Event Description The store can raise the most money by making a variety of products available at all times; so when donations come in processing them quickly is critical. Volunteers will help sort donations and prepare them for the sales floor. In addition, volunteers will assist in getting priced and prepared goods onto the sales floor in an organized and appealing way.

Winter Quarter: January 7 - March 15, 2019

Volunteer Check-in located at Salvation Army Thrift Store, 9 South 6th Street Yakima or 2615 Main Street Union Gap.

  • Stocker

    From the generosity of this community, we receive donations daily. Once we have sorted donations and prepared them, we need help getting items out into the store. We need help moving already sorted and priced items onto the sales floor in a tidy and organized fashion.

  • Sorter

    From the generosity of this community, we receive donations daily. We need help sorting those donations. This entails making sure an item is serviceable and sellable. Once an item is sorted, and sometimes cleaned, it is priced and prepared for the sales floor.
