Volunteer Positions

  • Shift 1 Volunteer

Volunteers will be responsible for manning different booths during the event. Examples of booths are: These Hands Don’t Hurt, Art Battle, Food & Drink, Merchandise, etc. Volunteers may also be floaters and walk around the event to make sure everything is running smoothly. All volunteers are required to sign up for a volunteer training because the topics discussed at Rock Against Rape are sensitive. MANDATORY Volunteer Training This volunteer training is required for anyone who signs up for “Shift 1 Volunteer” and “Shift 2 Volunteer”. Because Rock Against Rape is a sensitive subject we would like to meet with all of our booth volunteers to discuss possible triggers and what to do in those situations. Also you will find out what booth you will be at during the event, and how that booth will run. Only 1 training is required but there are two different days, you can sign up for either training. Trainings will be held on April 23rd from 6:00PM-7:00PM and April 24th from 6:00PM-7:00PM in SURC 140. For more information please contact Kayla Scammon/Alice Bowman at (509)963-3213.
