Alzheimer's Association: Walk to Cure Alzheimer's

Event Description The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide and 10 locations in the Western and Central Washington State Chapter region, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.

Volunteer Positions

  • Set-up and Check-in Volunteers

    Volunteers will work with the Alzheimer's Association set up the tents, track and check-in tables. They will also help check runners in and sign runners up for the event. Snacks and water will be provided for volunteers.
    Shifts: 
    Set-up Volunteers – Set up volunteers will be working with the Alzheimer’s Association to set up before the event. Tasks will include unloading equipment, setting up the route and preparing the venue.Saturday, October 5th 2013 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am0/10 positions filled
    Check-in Greeter - Check in greeters will walk around while participants are showing up and welcome them with finding the registration table, locating facilities and any other questions they have. Saturday, October 5th 2013 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am0/10 positions filled
    Check-in Tent – Check-in tent volunteers will welcome participants, check them in and answer any questions they may have. Saturday, October 5th 2013 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am3/10 positions filled
  • Alzheimer's Run and Clean-Up Volunteers

    Volunteers will work with the Alzheimer's Association as route monitors making sure all the runners know where to go, as water station monitors providing water cups to runners and as clean-up volunteers taking down the event. Snacks and water will be provided.
    Shifts: 
    Route Monitors - Volunteers will direct runners/walkers on where to go, watch out for injuries and assist runners/walkers when needed.Saturday, October 5th 2013 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm0/10 positions filled
    Water Station Monitor – Volunteers will run the water stations throughout the course. They will prep water cups for runners/walkers and assist them when needed.Saturday, October 5th 2013 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm1/10 positions filled
