Volunteers will interact with children and parents to provide a positive learning experience for all attendees.

- Event Date From Wednesday, October 03rd at 1:00 pm to Wednesday, December 05th 7:30 pmFrom Wednesday, October 3rd to Friday, December 7th volunteers will assist the local A.P.O.Y.O Food & Clothing Bank with weekly tasks including the unloading of Northwest Harvest food truck and general food distributions. Other tasks may include filling food boxes with various produce and non-perishables as well as light housekeeping within the facility.Click here to volunteer

- Event Date From Monday, November 19th at 2:00 pm to Tuesday, November 20th 6:00 pmFISH Food Bank annual turkey give away is November 19 and 20 from 2 pm – 6 pm. Volunteers will assist in handing out the turkeys, must be able to lift 20 pounds. This is a great opportunity to interact with the community as well as help folks have a great Thanksgiving.Click here to volunteer

- Event Date Tuesday, November 20th from 9:30 am to 5:00 pmOn November 20th, there will be a blood drive with the American Red Cross in SURC 137 A&B. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for approximately 50 CWU students, staff and community members to donate. The American Red Cross (ARC) uses the donated blood to aid local hospitals, as well as hospitals around the country who experience tragedies. Most donated blood stays within Central Washington to help patients suffering from trauma, illness, and injury, while other donations will help during national emergencies. Approximately 39,000 units of blood are needed each day across the U.S, and you could be a part of fulfilling that need. Remember: one donation saves up to THREE lives.Click here to volunteer
- Event Date From Wednesday, November 28th at 5:00 pm to Saturday, December 01st 6:00 pmCelebrate the Season at the 43rd annual Ware Fair, one of the longest-running, juried arts and crafts festivals in the region. Hosted in the beautiful CWU Student Union building, talented artisans from across the region offer a variety of handcrafted items, original art and delectable eats. Wednesday, November 28 from 5:00pm - 8pm volunteers will assist in vendor load-in/check-in. Saturday, December 1 from 3pm - 6pm volunteers needed to assist vendors with packing and loading items to vehicles.Click here to volunteer

- Event Date Friday, November 30th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pmFISH Community Food Bank is currently looking for volunteers. This is a great opportunity to serve the Ellensburg community while adding experience in a Food Bank/Food Pantry and other aspects of a social agency to your resume.Click here to volunteer
Volunteers are asked to complete an application, interview with a member of the staff, undergo a Washington State Patrol background check and attend an orientation before beginning work.
Volunteers working in the pantry will sort and stock food, organize inventory, help clean the warehouse and the food pantry as well as receive donations. Other volunteers are needed in the pantry to act as “guides” and assist those who are shopping for food. Guides shifts start 15 minutes before the distribution hour. Distribution hours are Monday, Tuesday 2:30-5; Wednesday, Thursday 2-4 and Friday from 9-11:30. Those who are sorting and helping to prepare the warehouse for distribution will organize their shifts with the Operations Manager, but are asked to work 3-4 hours if possible.
There are volunteer opportunities to work in administration, event planning and certain aspects of fundraising. Excellent opportunity to experience operations of a non-profit agency. Hours for these shirts and specific duties are organized with the Executive Director and the Development Coordinator based on the volunteer’s interests and availability and the needs of the program.
