    The APOYO Food & Clothing Bank provides ethnically sensitive food and support to a diverse population in Ellensburg and the surrounding area. Volunteers at this site will sort food into boxes for distribution, help tidy any clothing and household items as well as assist with occasional unloading of the Northwest Harvest truck.

  • Event Date From Tuesday, October 15th at 12:00 pm to Saturday, November 16th 2:00 pm
    Students will help with sustainability efforts at Central Washington University by helping get the farm fields ready for winter and prepped for Spring planting!

    Duties may include weeding, applying compost or organic soil amendments, setting up new projects, and much more.

    Volunteers may take produce home (if available) following their volunteer service.

    Help the Kittitas County Early Learning Coalition by interacting with families and their children through Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math activities aimed towards children ages 0 through 5. The location of the event varies.

    Help Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group plant native riparian plants along Wilson Creek on the CWU campus at E 11th & N Maple. Tools, gloves, water, light refreshments and snacks provided.

  • Event Date Tuesday, November 26th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
    Students have the opportunity to come into the CLCE office during their free time, and volunteer by preparing supplies and creating templates of crafts for Holiday Extravaganza. The office is located in SURC 256 (upstairs), and is open Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.

    Holiday Extravaganza is an annual event that aims to provide approximately 400 K-5 children with 30 fun and safe holiday craft stations. This event takes place on the first Saturday in December from 10am-2pm in the SURC Marketplace.

  • Event Date From Wednesday, December 04th at 4:30 pm to Saturday, December 07th 5:00 pm
    Celebrate the Season at the 44nd annual Ware Fair, one of the longest-running, juried arts and crafts festivals in the region. Hosted in the beautiful CWU Student Union building, talented artisans from across the region offer a variety of handcrafted items, original art and delectable eats.

    Volunteers will assist with vendor load/check in as well as tearing and packing away items for vendors at the conclusion of the week-long event.
