    Discovery Lab School is seeking a volunteer to work with a 3rd grade child that needs support in reading and a volunteer to help with math and language arts games and provide support in group activities.
    Education major preferred with a great way to get hands on experience!

    Reading Tudor day/hours needed:
    October- November M,T,W,Th (or any three of these days) from 2-3pm

    Classroom Volunteer day/hours needed:
    October- November M,W 10:30-12

    Transportation not provided.
    Discovery Lab is located at 201 N. Pearl St. (downtown Ellensburg)

  • Event Date Saturday, December 01st from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
    Holiday Extravaganza is an annual event that aims to provide approximately 300 K-5 children with 30 fun and safe holiday craft stations. This event takes place on Saturday December 1st , from 10am-2pm in the SURC Marketplace. Each station needs CWU student volunteers to help the children to create the craft, so sign up to volunteer today!

    A light breakfast and lunch are provided for volunteers, plus a FREE T-SHIRT! ***In order to receive the free t-shirt, you must SIGN UP by FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16th.***

  • Event Date From Tuesday, January 08th at 2:00 pm to Tuesday, March 12th 4:00 pm
    The Cold Weather Shelter is a collaboration with FISH Food Bank and Kittitas County Churches to provide shelter to the homeless during the coldest months of the year. CWU student volunteers will help this year by making soup and sandwiches for the shelter and learning more about how to get involved throughout winter quarter. FOOD HANDLERS PERMIT WILL BE REQUIRED. Volunteer check-in will be in SURC 256 (upstairs).

  • Event Date From Wednesday, January 16th at 8:00 am to Thursday, January 17th 3:00 pm
    The Center for Leadership and Community Engagement, along with the Diversity and Equity Center, is hosting Mt. Stuart Elementary School for Martin Luther King Jr. - Make a Difference January 16th, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm and January 17th, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. They will highlight the impact that Dr. King made on our nation through his leadership. 2nd-5th graders will rotate in small groups through multiple mini-centers to learn more about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

    THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR EDUCATION MAJORS TO GET HANDS ON EXPERIENCE.

  • Event Date Monday, June 03rd from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
    The store can raise the most money by making a variety of products available at all times; so when donations come in processing them quickly is critical. Volunteers will help sort donations and prepare them for the sales floor. In addition, volunteers will assist in getting priced and prepared goods onto the sales floor in an organized and appealing way.

    Volunteer Check-in located at Salvation Army Thrift Store, 9 South 6th Street Yakima or 2615 Main Street Union Gap.
