Description This is a fun project for a group or a club to help raise awareness for Fair Trade while distributing yummy treats across campus! Similar projects have been very successful in the past, and could provide great experience in program planning, fund raising, and marketing.

Design, organize and implement a bake sale at CWU using Fair Trade products. Recruit a group of your peers and use Fair Trade ingredients to bake and package delicious cookies, brownies, cupcakes, muffins etc. that can then be sold as a fundraiser for a Human Rights cause. Be sure to find ways to inform the student body about Fair Trade and human rights during your bake sale.

In addition, you might create a Fair Trade recipe book and distribute to students during the bake sale. Cost of products and materials can be arranged through the Civic Engagement Center.

If you are interested in this fun and exciting project, contact Stephanie at the CEC to set up a planning meeting.
